U-Pass Information

All undergraduate students registered in face-to-face classes at the UNBC main campus in Prince George are automatically enrolled in the U-Pass program. This service provides students with bus access throughout their enrolled semester of study. Additionally this pass also provides you with access to the Prince George Aquatic Centre and Canfor Leisure Pool.

Download and fill out the Opt-in form, Bus Pass Opt In Form (NUGSS - UNBC), along with a screenshot of your student fees and a screenshot of your course registrations for the current semester. Click here for an example of the support documents. Then email the supporting documents AND completed opt-in form to nugss-hello@unbc.ca

Students may be able to opt out of the U-Pass program provided they can provide documented proof of meeting the criteria specified on the form. Please download and complete the  U-Pass Opt out Form - NUGSS 2021 and submit the completed form AND scanned supporting documents to nugss-hello@unbc.ca

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to Opt-In or Opt-Out of the U-Pass program is the end of September for the Fall Semester, the end of January for the Winter Semester and the end of May for the May Semester, Spring Intersession and Summer Intersession.

South-Central Campus (Quesnel)

All undergraduate students in face-to-face classes at the Quesnel campus are automatically enrolled in the U-Pass program. If you aren’t automatically enrolled and need a U-Pass for Quesnel fill out the Opt IN Form- NUGSS 2020 - Quesnel Campus and email to nugss-hello@unbc.ca 

Obtaining Your U-Pass

You have the option to use either the UMO app OR a reloadable UMO card. You cannot use both the UMO app and the card. Each term, the University will provide you with a unique-to-you benefit code. It is necessary to activate your U-Pass every term with that term’s benefit code.
